What’s to Love

Unparallel Amenities: Starting with the appropriately voted “most beautiful clubhouse in the state” by Architectural Digest, this 30,000 square-foot Gothic designed grand stature is home to the Club’s renowned social events and dining experiences. Originally a small farmhouse built in 1854, the house was remodeled and expanded into a mansion in the 1920’s before it and surrounding land were officially established as Hurstbourne Country Club in 1960. Located among lush manicured grounds and mature trees the setting is immensely breathtaking. With a mindset to produce a family-friendly atmosphere and culture, Hurstbourne Country Club provides both its members and guests with a sense of home. The timeless design intertwines the sophistication of a well-appointed club with a warm and family-friendly atmosphere. Social events held throughout the year including Holiday celebrations and themed events, urges it members both young and old to mix and mingle. In addition to elegant dining areas and event space,  the clubhouse boasts a top of the line fitness center with an onsite personal trainer. The spectacular junior Olympic swimming pool, state of the art zero entry baby pool, and phenomenal poolside grill with a full-service kitchen and bar fill the clubhouses’ Northside and allow it’s members to kick back and enjoy time spent among friends and family!

Just beyond the impressive clubhouse and situated on 211 rolling acres, Hurstbourne Golf Club is member-owned and widely recognized as one of Kentucky’s most prestigious private golf and country clubs. Per Golf Digest, Hurstbourne has ranked among the top three courses in the state over the last eight years as well as the top-ranked member-owned golf course in Kentucky. Hurstbourne consistently hosts more than 20,000 rounds annually and the 7,007-yard course was completely redesigned and renovated by Keith Foster in 2004. The course features zoysia grass fairways, bent grass greens and a state-of-the-art practice area. Setting themselves apart from the rest, Hurstbourne Golf Course is the only club in the city of Louisville with 27 holes of golf; an 18-hole Championship Course and 9-hole Executive Course. The highly sought-after Championship Course has been the honored home of many championship events, including the Foster Brooks Pro-Celebrity Golf Tournament, Ryder Cup Captains Challenge, the Kentucky Open and US Open Local Qualifiers.

More recently, Hurstbourne has become home to a widely growing and talented racquet-sport community. The club won a pair of tennis city championships in 2018 and has six Har-Tru clay tennis courts and three brand new pickleball courts. No matter what your pleasure, Hurstbourne truly has it all!
